Sample Perfect Answer
a. Describe ONE major political or social change that occurred as a result of the French Revolution (1789–1799).
One major political change resulting from the French Revolution was the dismantling of the feudal aristocratic order and the establishment of the principle that sovereignty resided in the people rather than the monarch. The abolition of noble privileges in 1789 and the execution of Louis XVI in 1793 signaled a fundamental break from the idea of divinely sanctioned royal authority, establishing popular sovereignty as a foundation for modern political thought across Europe and beyond.
b. Explain ONE way in which industrialization between 1750 and 1900 transformed the economies of a specific region or country.
One way industrialization transformed a specific economy was through Britain’s shift from an agrarian to a manufacturing-based economy in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Steam-powered machinery and factory production concentrated workers in urban centers and made Britain the world’s leading exporter of manufactured goods, though it also created harsh urban poverty and an exploited working class that would drive later labor reform movements.
c. Identify and describe ONE significant global conflict in the 20th century and discuss its impact on international relations.
One significant global conflict in the 20th century was World War II (1939-1945), which fundamentally reshaped international relations by accelerating the decline of European colonial empires and establishing the United States and Soviet Union as rival superpowers. The war’s aftermath produced the United Nations, the beginning of decolonization across Asia and Africa, and the Cold War framework that would define global politics for the following four decades.
