The ACT Tests
The ACT is one of the most widely-used college readiness tests. Many colleges and universities require or prefer submission of ACT or SAT test scores to determine your admission eligibility and financial aid.
The ACT test is broken down into four sections:

The English Test
This test is 35 minutes and 40 questions long. It tests your knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth and space sciences.

The Math Test
This test is 60 minutes and 60 questions long. It covers all mathematical skills and topics up to the beginning of grade 12.

The Science Test
This test is 35 minutes and 40 questions long. It tests your knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth and space sciences.

The Writing Test
This is the only optional test on the ACT. It is a single essay question that you have 40 minutes to complete.
